Menu Collections in the Conrad N. Hilton Library

Our collections include menus dating from 1883 to the present, with most from 1950 through 1990. The oldest dated menu is a dinner menu for August 14, 1883, from the New American Hotel, Richfield Springs (Otsego County), NY, and is in the Chapman S. Root Collection.

The 34 menu collections in the Conrad N. Hilton Library include more than 25,000 menus from:

• all the US states
• more than 80 countries
• more than 40 airlines
• approximately 70 railroad companies
• approximately 100 ships and shipping lines
